Director Mahi V Raghav made headlines in the OTT world when two of his web series, Save The Tigers and Shaitan ended as massive hits in the digital space. He is now shooting for his political thriller Yatar 2, the sequel to his hit film Yatra, a biopic on the late YS Rajasekhar Reddy.
With each passing day, Yatra 2 is getting interesting and the latest update is that the teaser of the film will be launched on January 5, 2024, grandly. A special event has been planned for the same by the makers.
In the days to come, more promotional material from the film will be out in a special way that would help the current AP government during the upcoming elections. A solid poster featuring Mammootty and Jiva was released today and it looks dynamic.
Yatra 2 is jointly produced by Three Autumn Leaves, V Celluloid, and Shiva Meka. Malayalam Superstar Mammootty is playing the role of YS Rajasekhar Reddy while Kollywood Star Jiiva is enacting YS Jagan's role in the film.
The shooting is happening at a brisk pace and will be out on February 8, 2024. German Actress Suzanne Bernert is playing the crucial role of Sonia Gandhi in Yatra 2 and Mahesh Manjrekar will be seen as Chandra Babu Naidu in this film.
Yatra 2 will showcase how YSR's son YS Jagan rose to become a people's leader. It also explores the political landscape of Andhra Pradesh during the period 2009 to 2019. Santosh Narayanan is providing the music for the film which is being made on a massive budget.
The first part of Yatra was a commercial success and impressed one and all. This time, the stakes are high and director Mahi V Raghav says that the emotions in the political thriller will be one of the biggest highlights of the film. Watch this space for more updates on this project.
