#Yash19: Rocking Star Yash’s next to be officially launched on the 50th day celebration of KGF Chapter 2?

It’s a news that fans of Kannada cinema’s Rocking Star Yash have been waiting for with bated breath – an update about his next after KGF: Chapter 2. Dubbed #Yash 19, because it is the actor’s 19th project, it was, for the longest, rumoured to be a film with director Narthan, of Mufti fame, to be produced by KVN Productions.

But then, when Yash retained his KGF Rocky Bhai look even after the release of Chapter 2, given that the film ended with the possibility of Chapter 3 too, it got fans wondering if the actor was looking at focusing on KGF for some more time. This theory gained credence when Vijay Kiragandur of Hombale Films, the producer of the KGF saga, stated that the banner was looking at going on floors with KGF: Chapter 3 as early as the year end, when director Prashant Neel gets done with his current commitment, the Prabhas-starrer Salaar.

Shortly after Vijay’s interview, the news of KGF3 in October spread like wildfire and began to raise questions about Yash’s commitment to a film with Narthan, as well as Prashant’s to films with NTR Jr and Sriimurali after Salaar. It was speculated that #Yash19 with Narthan was on hold, which prompted Hombale Films executive producer and co-founder of KRG studios, Karthik Gowda, to issue a clarification that while KGF: Chapter 3 would, most definitely, be made, it would not go on floors anytime soon.

Around the same time, Narthan was seen in Yash’s company at a couple of public events, so, it seemed that all was well with his film after all. The buzz right now is that an official muhurtha of the film will happen on June 3, during the 50-day celebrations of KGF: Chapter 2. During the promotions of KGF: Chapter 2, Yash had been asked multiple times about his next move, but the actor neatly side-stepped and did not divulge much information, saying only that there was a script that was being worked on that the team would talk about it when the time is right. Looks like that time will be here soon!
