Rocking Star Yash has given his fans not one, but two solid updates today. His next is called Toxic – A Fairytale for Grown Ups. But what’s more exciting is that he has set a goal in sight as far as the release plans go. Three years to the release of KGF: Chapter 2, Toxic will be in theatres on April 10, 2025. While that means a wait of more than a year still, it is a great release plan after all.
April 10, 2025 is Thursday and a holiday for Mahavir Jayanti, 11th is a working day, followed by a weekend and then another holiday on April 14 Monday for Vishu/Baisakhi/Ambedkar Jayanti. This then leads into the Easter week with holidays from April 17 Thursday for Maundy Thursday, April 18 Good Friday and the Easter weekend.
Produced by KVN Productions in association with Monster Mind Creations (a joint venture of KVN with Yash), Toxic is, as has been rumoured, a Geetu Mohandas directorial, after all. The background score of the title and release date announcement has been highly praised, but the makers have not revealed the music director at this point. Charan Raj is speculated to be the man behind it. “Like a moth to a flame you’ll play his game; he’s a fix of Toxic you never had. Chaos is a man and you want him bad,” go the lyrics of the title reveal score.
The film is also rumoured to be based on Goa’s drug mafia in the 70s and 80s and the title seems to imply as much, given that the release date announcement also states ‘Intoxicating The World On’. Of course, this also means that Toxic will be a pan-India/world release in multiple languages.
