Is there a strong and definitive 'sea' connection to Yash 19? Well, at the moment, there are multiple reports suggesting that Rocking Star Yash's most-awaited next will prominently feature the vast sea and that the team involved has chosen multiple locations for the shoot.

A few weeks ago, back in June, it emerged that Yash 19 could be shot in Sri Lanka after Yash's meeting with the island nation's 'Board of Investment' head, Dinesh Weerakkody, came to light. "Met with Naveen Kumar Gowda the Indian actor better known by his stage name Yash, recipient of three Filmfare Awards. Keen on using Sri Lanka for some of his shoots," wrote Mr. Weerakkody in his tweet alongside a picture he clicked with Rocky Bhai himself.

And now, the latest reports suggest that, indeed, Yash 19 will be set along the coastline because the subject matter of the film demands so. According to the popular Hindi daily Dainik Bhaskar, Yash's next will have Goa as its main focus, adding that fans have another riveting period crime drama in the offing.

Yash 19 concerns the Russian mafia of the 1960s

Another highlight of the same report is that Yash 19 will be set in the 1960s and will concern the infiltration of the Russian and Drug mafias in Goa. Many would know that the coastal state was one of Southern Asia's epicentre of the counter-culture that blossomed in the '60s and also that an underbelly, rife with crime, potentially made inroads around the same time. So, regardless of the aforementioned reports' validity, it cannot be denied that the setting lends itself to a compelling crime drama, one that boasts the scope for a massive 'pan-India' project.

Dainik Bhaskar also reports that Malayalam filmmaker Latha Menon, wife of ace cinematographer/filmmaker/actor Rajiv Menon, would helm Yash 19 but netizens believe that the daily has misquoted the name and that it could be referring to Geetu Mohandas instead. Geetu Mohandas, of course, an established filmmaker herself, is the wife of cinematographer & Malayalam filmmaker Rajeev Ravi.
