Vijay Sethupathi's Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir has been put on the backburner for quite some time now. Now the actor has finally announced that the film will hit screens in December, much to the delight of his fans. Taking to his social media handle, Vijay Sethupathi wrote, "#YaadhumOoreYaavarumKelir - December Release #HappyVijayadashami @ChandaraaArts @EssakiduraiS @roghanth @akash_megha @raguesaki @Riythvika @jayam_mohanraja @Vetri_DOP @nivaskprasanna @AbrahamEditor @saregamasouth @onlynikil @CtcMediaboy (sic)."The actor also shared the latest poster from the film, in which he is seen sporting multiple get-ups. The team, however, is yet to announce the exact release date.
Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir, directed by Venkata Krishna Roghanth, has Megha Akash playing the leading lady. The supporting cast includes director Mohan Raja in a special appearance, Magizh Thirumeni, Riythvika and Kaniha. The film also featured late actor Vivekh. Music for the film is by Nivas K Prasanna. While the cinematography is by Vetrivel Mahendran, editing is by John Abraham.
In the meantime, the actor has a slew of films in Bollywood, which includes Atlee's Jawan, where he will be seen opposite Shah Rukh Khan, Mumbaikar, the Hindi remake of Lokesh Kanagaraj's Maanagaram and Merry Christmas where he has teamed up with Katrina Kaif. He also has in his kitty the silent film, Gandhi Talks. Vijay Sethupathi was last seen in the Malayalam film 19 (1) (a). In Tamil, he was seen in Seenu Ramasamy's critically acclaimed Maamanithan, which has been winning laurels at the film festival circuit and Kamal Haasan's Vikram, the action entertainer directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj.
Vijay Sethupathi has also been working on director Vetri Maaran's upcoming film Viduthalai, which has Soori playing the lead as a police constable. The film is being made in two parts and the first part of the film is all set to release in November. The second part, we hear, will hit screens in mid-summer of 2023.
