Vijay Sethupathi's long-delayed film, Yaadhum Oore Yaavarum Kelir, directed by debutant Venkata Krishna Roghanth, has just dropped on Amazon Prime Video. The film, which has been lying in the cans for a while, hit screens on May 19 and opened to negative reviews. Megha Akash plays the leading lady in it marking her maiden collaboration with Vijay Sethupathi.
Plot of Yaadhum Oore Yaavaraum Kelir
The plot revolves around a person suffering from an identity crisis. How he reaches Tamil Nadu and sets out to find his roots forms the crux of the story. The star cast includes Magizh Thirumeni, Vivek, Kaniha, Riythvika, Mohan Raja and Karu Pazhaniappan.

Music is by Nivas K Prasanna, cinematography by Vetrivel Mahendran and editing by John Abraham. While K Veera Samar has handled the art direction, Miracle Michael has choreographed the stunt sequences. Yaadhum Oore Yaavaraum Kelir is bankrolled by Esakki Durai under the banner of Chandaraa Arts.
Jawan mania
Meanwhile, Vijay Sethupathi is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film, Jawan, in which he will share screen space with the Baadshah of Bollywood, Shah Rukh Khan. The film marks the directorial debut of Atlee in Bollywood, and the star cast comprises Nayanthara, Priyamani, Sanya Malhotra, Priyamani, and Deepika Padukone in a special appearance. Jawan is gearing up to hit screens on September 7.
Merry Christmas
Vijay Sethupathi will also be seen in Sriram Raghavan's Merry Christmas, in which he has teamed up with Katrina Kaif. The film is all set to hit screens in Hindi and Tamil on December 15, 2023 and is bankrolled by Tips Films and Matchbox Pictures. The film is said to be a crime thriller set in a day when their world is turned upside down.
Gandhi Talks
Vijay Sethupathi also has in his kitty, Gandhi Talks, a silent film, directed by Marathi filmmaker Kishor Pandurang Belekar. The star cast comprises Vijay Sethupathi, Arvind Swami, Siddharth Jadhav and Aditi Rao Hydari. Music is scored by AR Rahman.
