Witness OTT release date: When and where to watch the hard-hitting drama starring Rohini, Shraddha Srinath online

Rohini, who is quite choosy in her projects, has geared up for the release of her next outing, titled WItness. The makers of the movie helmed by Deepak have opted for a direct-OTT-release. The director himself has cranked the camera for the film which has Shraddha Srinath, too, essaying one of the lead roles.

It revolves around the pertinent topic of manual scavenging. Rohini plays the peeved mother of a youngster who loses his life after indulging in the obnoxious profession for sometime. How a young woman, played by Shraddha, fights against the flawed system to get justice for the mother forms the movie's plot.

 According to the makers, 340 people have died in a span of five years in the country due to manual scavenging. The film begins with a sensational case in which the death of 15 people is investigated by concerned departments. Billed as a hard-hitting drama, Witness stars Subatra Robert, Shanmuga Raja, Azhagam Perumal and Tamilarasan in key roles.

TG Vishwa Prasad has bankrolled the film which has screenplay by Muthuvel and JP Sanakya. Ramesh Thamilmani and Philomin Raj have handled music and editing respectively for the project.

Witness is dropping on SonyLIV on December 9. The team has unveiled its trailer, which offers a sneak peek into the movie's story, recently. Kabilan has penned lyrics for the film which has art direction helmed by Sathish. Rohini, who was seen in various films in different languages in 2022, last acted in Meet Cute which also had a direct release on SonyLIV.

Shraddha, on the other hand, had a Malayalam and a Kannada release this year. Witness marks her return to Tamil cinema after almost two years.
