Superstar Rajinikanth’s upcoming action drama Vettaiyan is undoubtedly one of the most anticipated films. Although it is currently in its production stage, the latest buzz is that the makers are looking at releasing the teaser of the film on Tamil Puthandu, or Tamil New Year: April 14. This will be the perfect new-year treat for Thalaivar. However, an official confirmation regarding the same is awaited.
The first title glimpse of the film had fans excited and eager to watch the teaser. There is much anticipation about what Rajinikanth's character will be like and look like in Vettaiyan.
Vettaiyan's shoot is in full swing
Director TJ Gnanavel's Vettaiyan, which is Rajinikanth's 170th film, is currently under production. The shooting for the film is going on in full swing. It is reported that the shooting of Vettaiyan will be completed in the next two weeks. Earlier, there were reports that the Tamil superstar would be in Thiruvananthapuram for a shooting schedule. The team of Vettaiyan had previously completed a 10-day shooting schedule for the film at the Vellayani Agricultural College and at a house in Shankumugham, Thiruvananthapuram, in October 2023.

A massive star cast
Produced by Lyca Productions, the movie revolves around Rajinikanth, who plays a police officer. Reports suggest that the film’s story revolves around an encounter specialist. TJ Gnanavel, who is known for giving messages of reformation in his films, is expected to offer a fresh perspective on the misuse of power. Rajinikanth is expected to be seen in a never-seen-before avatar.
Along with Rajinikanth, Fahadh Faasil, Rana Daggubati, and many popular actors including Manju Warrier, Ritika Singh, Dushara Vijayan, Kishore, Rohini, Rao Ramesh, Shaji Chen, Ramesh Thilak, Rakshan, and GM Sundar have been cast in supporting roles. Anirudh Ravichander has composed the original score.
