Actress Sonakshi Sinha is all set to tie the knot with her long-time boyfriend Zaheer Iqbal. According to Iqbal Ratansi, groom-to-be's father, the couple will have a civil marriage, which is set to take place on June 23. As the wedding is all set to take place tomorrow, Zaheer's father shared a few details about the marriage and if Sonakshi will convert to Islam post-marriage. Keep reading to know the details!
Will Sonakshi Sinha convert to Islam after marriage?
In a recent interview with Free Press Journal, Zaheer Iqbal's father revealed if the wedding would be with Hindu or Muslim rituals, He said, “It will have neither Hindu nor Muslim rituals. It will be a civil marriage.”
Further, speaking about reports that are circulating on social media about Sonakshi might convert to Islam after the wedding, he said, “She is not converting and that is for sure. Theirs is a union of hearts and religion has no role to play whatsoever. I believe in humanity. God is called Bhagwan by Hindus and Allah by Muslims. But at the end of the day, we are all human beings. My blessings are with Zaheer and Sonakshi.”
Earlier, there were reports that Sona's dad Shatrughan Sinha is not happy with the couple's marriage but the actor-turned-politician addressed the speculations in a recent interview and told Times Now.com/Zoom, “Tell me, whose life is it anyway? It’s just the life of my only daughter Sonakshi, whom I’m very proud of and immensely fond of. She calls me the pillar of her strength. I will be there at the wedding, certainly. Why shouldn’t I and why won’t I?”
Meanwhile, Sonakshi and Zaheer's close friends including Huma Qureshi, Varun Sharma, Ayush Sharma, and others are expected to attend their big day. Superstar Salman Khan, through whom the couple met is also expected to grace the wedding.
