Trouble for Sharan’s Avatara Purusha part 2 release?

Kannada actor Sharan’s Avatara Purusha part 1 may not have set the box office on fire, but the film had opened to positive reviews, with audiences eagerly awaiting the second part, which will have more details about the plot line surrounding black magic and the Trishanku mani. In earlier interviews, the team had said that they would release the films three months apart, but later, after the first instalment came out, director Suni had said that he was aiming to bring out the next one during the Dasara festivities. He reckoned that he’d need time till October as the film will be quite VFX heavy.

According to a source Avatara Purusha part 2 (Trishanku), maybe delayed, as the banner that is backing it, is in a bit of a tight spot at the moment. But team Avatara Purusha maintains that principal photography is done and that the film is in post-production due to the VFX work. Any delay, if at all, will be because of the post-production work, and nothing else, they say. 

Meanwhile, Sharan has been busy with his own production Guru Shishyaru, and is set to head to the set of his next with Karva director Navaneeth. A muhurtha for the as-yet-untitled film produced by Tarun Shivappa (Mass Leader fame) was held in October last year.

Avatara Purusha part 1 had released in theatres on May 6 and is currently streaming on Amazon Prime. There’s been no official word from the team on the status of the second instalment. The Suni-directorial, which had his trademark comedy mixed with black magic, also starred Ashika Ranganath, Srinagara Kitty, Saikumar, B Suresha, among others. Saikumar and Kitty have been quoted as saying that their characters will have a lot more prominence in the second installment. There is a segment of audience that is eagerly waiting to see how the story progresses. Here's hoping that all will be sorted soon and Avatara Purusha 2 makes it to theatres.
