Jisshu U Sengupta, who started his illustrious career with television, has been anchoring a popular reality show Super Singer Season 4. Along with his Bengali projects, the actor has been working in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu films on a regular basis. After working in Baba, Baby O in Bengal, he was seen in Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur-starrer Sita Ramam. Directed by Hanu Raghavapudi, Jisshu is seen as the elder brother of Princess. Now, he will emerge as Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu once again.
His iconic portrayal of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu in the Bengali TV serial Mahaprabhu was etched in the viewers’ hearts. Now, he will dress up like Mohaprabhu in Super Singer Season 4. The recent promo shows that one of the contestants of the reality show, Anuradha, sings a bhajan of Sri Chaitanya Dev. Her song impresses Jisshu, aka Chaitanya Dev, and the actor enters the stage in the avatar of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu. His fans are evidently very happy with his avatar.
Meanwhile, Super Singer Season 4 has been presenting treats to the music lovers. Shilpa Rao, whose recent song Besharam Rang from Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone’s Pathaan has graced the show. She was in Kolkata for a shooting when she was asked to attend the show.
As per sources, Anupam Roy will also be seen in the show. Anupam and Rupam Islam (who is also one of the judges) will present a duet.
