'Will I be able to play football, run with them?': Ranbir Kapoor shares his biggest insecurity about being a father at 40

Ranbir Kapoor embraced fatherhood last month when Alia Bhatt gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on November 6, 2022. They revealed that they've named their little bundle of joy Raha in an Instagram post by Alia. The name was chosen by her "wise and wonderful Dadi" and it means 'divine path' in it's purest form.

The 40-year-old actor recently attended the Red Sea International Film Festival in Saudi Arabia where he was asked to share what all changed for him after embracing parenthood. In a video shared by Brut India, Ranbir can be seen explaining his biggest insecurity of being a father at 40. 

The actor said that he wonders why it took him so long to become a father and added that his biggest insecurity is that when his children turn 20 or 21, he will become 60 years old. "Will I be able to play football with them? Will I be able to run with them?" he said. 

The Shamshera actor also opened up about diving baby duties and sharing responsibilities with Alia. He said that he works for only about 180-200 days while Alia does a lot more work but they'll try and balance things out. He added that he'll take a break when Alia goes to work or she can do the same when he's out for work. 

On the work front, Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt were last seen together on screen in the Ayan Mukerji directorial first installment of the Brahmastra trilogy, titled Shiva. The duo fell in love while shooting for the film which took over seven years to complete. 

Meanwhile, Ranbir will next be seen in the film titled Animal which is being helmed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga. The actor also has Luv Ranjan's next with Shraddha Kapoor up his sleeve. The title of the film is yet to be revealed. Watch this space for more...
