The Lucky Man teaser which was released earlier today (July 25) has surely stirred up all the Powerstar Puneeth Rajkumar fans. The teaser shows the late actor in the role of a benevolent God who dishes out a second chance to the protagonist, played by Darling Krishna, and urges him to fix his previous mistakes. Although the video is only a minute long, the few glimpses of Puneeth Rajkumar bearing his quintessential smile and also shaking a leg with Prabhudeva have charmed the fans online who are now keenly looking forward to the release of the film.

Post the teaser release, director Nagendra Prasad spoke to a popular Kannada news channel about the making of the film and also addressed a crucial matter that many have wondered about. Puneeth Rajkumar’s most recent release, James, came post his tragic death which compelled the makers of the film to use his brother Shiva Rajkumar’s voice as the dubbing choice. While many found the decision to be endearing, others felt that the entire experience to have slightly lacked the same magic that the Powerstar’s voice carried.

In this vein, Nagendra Prasad was quizzed about Puneeth Rajkumar’s dialogues in Lucky Man and whether or not the actor will be heard in his own voice in the film. Confirming that, quite indeed, Puneeth Rajkumar will be seen and heard in his full glory and that the audience will be able hear the actor’s alluring voice in the upcoming film, Nagendra Prasad gave all the fans a huge cause for cheer.

Although James was first released in theatres with Shiva Rajkumar’s dubbed voice, the makers were then able to render a new copy with Puneeth’s voice in place. Thanks to a sound engineer and his inspired team who were able to isolate the Powerstar’s voice from various sources and recreate his dialogues in the film. James was later released in theatres with Puneeth Rajkumar’s voice on April 22.

Lucky Man, on the other hand, stars Darling Krishna, Sangeetha Sringeri, Roshni Prakash, Nagabhushana, Rangayana Raghu, and others.
