Here's a story about a "dil-toota aashiq" (heartbroken lover) who has friends to help him recover. Netflix has announced Wild Wild Punjab, which emphasises friendship and may cure all heartbreaks. Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg produce the blatantly comedic romp, which Simarpreet Singh helms. The highly anticipated film will make its Netflix release on July 10, 2024.
In Wild Wild Punjab, Khanne (Varun Sharma) goes through a breakup. His friends Arore (Sunny Singh), Jainu (Jassie Gill), and Honey Paaji (Manjot Singh) urge him to confront the breakup directly and go on, even if he is upset. The bunch of boys take a "break-up trip" around Punjab in the hopes of giving Khanne the closure he needs. The film shows whether or not success is in sight.

The ensemble cast showcases the hilarious talents of Varun Sharma, Sunny Singh, Manjot Singh, Jassie Gill, Patralekhaa, and Ishita Raj. The makers urge viewers to fasten their seatbelts because they are in for a wild, bromance-filled adventure.
Earlier, the makers had revealed a teaser that, in a classic Luv Ranjan style, follows four friends as they go on a crazy goose chase after their friend's ex. Nevertheless, things go haywire when the plot suddenly changes direction. Following are a series of unfortunate events marked by violence, altercations, run-ins with the law, gunshots, and lighthearted teasing between friends.
The summary of Wild Wild Punjab described it as a gang of inebriated friends who decide to crash a friend's wedding in order to get even for his breakup and finally move on with their lives. A daring and spontaneous idea for a "breakup trip" takes flight, ushering in unexpected escapades in this labyrinthine land known as Wild Wild Punjab.
While divulging details about the film, Luv Ranjan said that they at Luv Films endeavour to always bring laughter, joy, and entertainment to audiences. They are taking the degree of excitement and wildness to a whole new level with Wild Wild Punjab! This film cherishes all aspects of Punjabi culture, including camaraderie and fraternity.
Wild Wild Punjab was reportedly Luv Ranjan's first production venture, which he announced in 2015. Due to the identical themes centred around Punjab, Luv Ranjan had to delay the movie to "maintain" some distance between Shahid Kapoor's 2016 film Udta Punjab and the current one.
