Whenever one thinks of actor Vijay Varma, you think of his popular works, including Darlings, Jaane Jaan, Dahaad, and Kaalkoot. He has clearly been a part of several crime films and has been appreciated in them by people across the world. This month, we got to see him in Murder Mubarak, a Netflix murder mystery film. When some people wondered what his fondness for crime films and series is, the 37-year-old actor had a rather funny response.
Why is Vijay Varma often seen in crime films?
Netflix India recently released a fun interaction between the cast and crew of Murder Mubarak. In the interaction, a journalist asked Vijay if he loved being part of projects in the crime genre. Vijay funnily replied, “I wasn’t inclined towards being a spy, but I wanted to be a superhero when I was a child. I think it has something to do with solving crime. This theme has been my favourite one since childhood.”
Elaborating further, Vijay said, “I have often played the role of killers.” The journalist then asked the actor if there was a connection between him and murder films. To this, Vijay added, “I don’t (have a connection). It is these writers and directors of the current generation who think only about murder and not beyond that. They are only thinking about murders and roles for us...(smiles). I am a very peaceful person by nature. I believe in non-violence.”
After hearing this, all those who were present at the interaction burst into laughter.
