Farhan Akhtar announced the release of his upcoming movie 120 Bahadur. Based on the lives of Major Shaitan Singh PVC and the members of Charlie Company, 13 Kumaon Regiment, Excel Entertainment, and Trigger Happy Studios (Amit Chandrra) produced movie has garnered attention after the release of the motion picture. In the film, Farhan will be playing the role of the Indian army officer, Major Shaitan Singh. Let's have a detailed read on the army officer in this article. 

Who was Major Shaitan Singh

Born in 1924 in Rajasthan, Major Shaitan Singh was an Indian army officer. He is known for his heroic role in the 1962 Sino-Indian War. He joined the Jodhpur State Forces and was the commanding officer of the Charlie Company of the 13th Kumaon Regiment.

During the Battle of Rezang La in the Ladakh sector, his company was outnumbered by Chinese forces. However, he led a fierce defense. Shaitan Singh and 113 other men fought hard so that Chushul did not fall into Chinese hands. It has been known that his body was found with his right hand in his abdomen. A memorial to him was erected at the spot where he fell during the war.

Singh was also a recipient of India's highest military decoration, the Param Vir Chakra, for his extraordinary bravery and leadership.

Taking to his Instagram handle, Akhtar dropped a carousel of motion and still posters announcing his next titled, 120 Bahadur. The tagline of the film reads, "Woh Teen Hazaar The…Aur Hum? 120 Bahadur"

Sharing the post, he captioned it, "What they accomplished will never be forgotten. It is an absolute privilege to bring you the story of Maj. Shaitan Singh Bhati (PVC) and the soldiers of Charlie company, 13 Kumaon regiment."

Reacting to his post, Ranveer Singh dropped an oncoming fist, trident emblem, red heart, nazar amulet, and fire emoji in the comment section. Farhan's wife Shibani Akhtar expressed her excitement and wrote," Cannot wait for this one (accompanied by a red-heart emoji)good luck to the entire team (accompanied by a hug emoji) "

Meanwhile, 120 Bahadur is directed by Razneesh "Razy" Ghai.
