White Rose First Look - Vijay Sethupathi unveils Anandhi’s posters from psychological thriller

Anandhi, who was last seen in Raavana Kottam and Vidhi, is all set to star in an intriguing psychological thriller. The actress, who had earlier announced her film White Rose, has finally come with a brand new update after almost 2 years. The makers of the film dropped the first-look posters from the film, which were officially unveiled by actor Vijay Sethupathi. The film is directed by debutant Rajashekar, and stars newcomer Rooso, who has also been roped in to play a pivotal character in the project.  

The new posters feature Anandhi in two different perspectives. One of the posters features Anandhi’s character being caressed by a man, seemingly her partner. In another poster, she appears to give a distressed look, in a close-up shot, and an unknown man’s shadow is seen behind her. From the first glance, the film’s poster screams of yet another psychological thriller; revolving around stalking and giving out serial killer vibes. We guess the film might focus on predatory behaviour, but nonetheless, the cold and mysterious posters might be onto something more interesting. White Rose aims to narrate a gripping story on a serious subject, which is the need of the hour. 

According to sources, the film is based on illegal happenings in the medical field. Billed as an awareness film, the movie also aims to project beastly traits in humans. The title is derived from the antagonist’s obsession with ‘white roses’.  

Although the film’s release date is yet to be announced, the movie is expected to come out soon. Johan Shevanesh of Metro fame will be composing music for the film, while Navin Kumar will be handling the cinematography.

Anandhi’s Mangai expected release

Meanwhile, Anandhi’s other project titled Mangai, which is directed by Gubenthiran Kamatchi, is set to make its theatrical release in March. Touted to be a women-centric film, it showcases how men perceive women and takes us through how women navigate life under the male gaze.
