Rajinikanth's high price must be the icing on the cake for the team behind Jigarthanda Double X, which is also doing well at the box office.

Superstar Rajinikanth recently met filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj and his team to congratulate them on Jigarthanda Double X. Karthik tweeted the pictures of himself along with Rajinikanth while expressing his gratitude for his favourite star.

"Thanks a lot Thalaivaa for showering your Love and Praises to #JigarthandaDoubleX Your one hour long conversation with us gave me and the whole team such a Positive vibe n aura sir...... Loads of Love to you Thalaivaa from team #JigarthandaXX," tweeted Karthik.

Besides Karthik, the main cast and crew of Jigarthanda Double X, including Raghava Lawrence, SJ Suryah and composer Santhosh Narayanan among other crew members of the movie also met Rajinikanth.

This meeting comes on the heels of Rajinikanth's open letter in which he gave a glowing review of the film, describing it as the Kurinji flower, which only blooms once in 12 years. Rajinikanth suggested that a movie like Jigarthanda Double X is as precious and unique as the Kurinji flower.

Rajinikanth also heaped praises on Raghava Lawrence, expressing surprise over his ability to deliver such a range of performances. He also praised SJ Suryah, Santhosh Narayanan and other members of the film's cast and crew.

Rajinikanth's high price must be the icing on the cake for the team behind Jigarthanda Double X, which is also doing well at the box office.

It's noteworthy that Karthik has paid a rich homage to the cinematic legacy of Rajinikanth in Jigarthanda Double X. The pivotal moment in the narrative, is when Raghava Lawrence's Caesar decides to become the first dark-skinned hero of Tamil cinema. The notion that lighter skin was a must-have for anyone who aspired to become a leading man in Tamil cinema was rendered obsolete with the arrival of Rajinikanth in the late 1970s.
