When Prithviraj Sukumaran predicted the ‘new phase’ in Mammootty’s career – VIDEO goes viral

Mammootty is now going through a very exciting phase in his acting career. The megastar of Malayalam cinema successfully reinvented himself after the long pandemic break, with back-to-back successful outings. The veteran actor, who has completed 50 years in the film industry has made it clear that he is ready to do everything it takes to be a part of good films.

Meanwhile, a throwback video of Prithviraj Sukumaran, in which the actor-director is seen predicting what is in store for Mammootty in his 70s, is now going viral on social media. The netizens feel that the multi-faceted talent is indeed a keen observer and a very talented filmmaker, who can foresee the changes in cinema.

When Prithviraj predicted Mammootty's new phase

In a throwback video that is now winning the internet, the L2 Empuraan director is seen analyzing Mammootty’s career. Interestingly, Prithviraj Sukumaran stated that the megastar is about to have the most exciting phase of his acting career in his 70s and has so much more to contribute to Malayalam cinema. Interestingly, the Aadujeevitham actor also revealed that he said the same opinion to the megastar himself, during one of their conversations.

Mammootty, however, didn’t react to his views and just smiled back at him. The netizens, who are now heaping praises on Prithviraj for his excellent observations, are now urging the actor-director to team up with the megastar for a project soon. For the uninitiated, the Lucifer director had earlier expressed his desire to direct a film with Mammootty in the lead role. He also revealed that he and writer Murali Gopy might develop a subject that can do justice to the legend’s unparalleled talent, very soon. However, nothing has been materialized so far.

Well, it is now safe to say that Prithviraj Sukumaran’s predictions were indeed true. Mammootty kickstarted a more daring phase of his acting career with Bheeshma Parvam, the Amal Neerad directorial which was released in 2022. Later, he further stunned the Malayalam cinema audiences by becoming a part of many daring attempts including Puzhu, Rorschach, Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam, Kannur Squad, Kaathal The Core, and the recently released Bramayugam. The veteran actor has now proved that he is remoulding himself with every film, and is ready to do everything for the same.
