When Ankush gets candid about his remuneration

Ankush spent 13 years in the Bengali entertainment industry and has seen many ups and downs. It was not an easy ride for the young man who hails from Burdwan, to make his ground. But he is one of the most popular faces in the industry today. However, people do not know how much money he got for acting in his debut film. What was the highest amount offered to him to date?

Ankush recently answered several questions from his fans on social media. He divulged about his remuneration there. A fan asked about his fee in his debut film Kellafate. Ankush said he got an amount of Rs 5,000 as a remuneration. He also said, “That was like Ra 5 cr to me and I was on cloud nine.”

Another fan asked him what was the highest amount he was offered. The actor answered that the amount was Rs two cr. He also added that he did not get the project. He said, “Hearing this, I fainted for five days and someone else was cast.” But such remuneration is a bit too much to think of for Bengali films. Ankush admitted to a media house that he answered that jokingly. He told Anandabazar Online, “I wrote most of the things jokingly. However, I told the truth about my first-ever remuneration.” 

Ankush recently finished the shooting for Kaushik Ganguly’s Asukh Bisukh. The film Kurban with Priyanka Sarkar is also waiting to be released.
