Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif, known for their successful collaborations in several blockbuster films, including Namastey London and Welcome, captivated audiences with their sizzling chemistry in the 2000s. However, an interesting revelation has surfaced about their initial interactions during the making of their first film together, Humko Deewana Kar Gaye (2006). In a viral video, Katrina shared her experience of meeting Akshay for the first time and disclosed that he displayed an indifferent attitude towards her.

A fan shared a video of Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif and Farah Khan on Instagram. It is of them promoting their movie Tees Maar Khan. During this promotional event, the duo reminisced about their first encounter. According to Katrina, she met Akshay for the first time at Firoz A. Nadiadwala's office, where he casually disregarded her greeting and walked away. Their paths crossed again at Amitabh Bachchan's birthday party, where Akshay once again dismissed her.

Akshay then revealed that their next meeting took place on the sets of Humko Deewana Kar Gaye, where he continued to ignore her. He playfully hinted that Katrina sought solace from ‘someone,’ believed to be Salman Khan, and complained about Akshay's behavior. According to him, Katrina conveyed how he refused to engage in conversation with her and how the entire cast primarily conversed in Punjabi.

After their initial differences, Akshay and Katrina managed to reconcile and continued their successful collaboration, delivering numerous blockbusters together. Their most recent appearance as a duo was in the 2020 film Sooryavanshi, which garnered great success.
