It all started off in the year 2000 when Priyanka Chopra was crowned as ‘Miss World’, where she beat many contestants from all over the globe with her beauty, wits and talent. This was followed by her tryst with Bollywood, wherein she reigned supreme for a few years, before diversifying into exercising her vocal cords and become a global star. Amidst all this, she got married to musician Nick Jonas and got permanently settled abroad.

Even though she got married and got settled abroad, she was always on the lookout for anything and everything that could satisfy her creative urge to excel. One such venture was the much-talked about restaurant ‘Sona’. The said restaurant, which was known for its serving of delicious Indian food, had got started two years ago in New York City. No sooner did she start off with ‘Sona’ many celebrities from India as well as Hollywood started frequenting the same and their reviews and recommendations were good enough to elevate the restaurant to become a brand and name to reckon with.

The latest update on ‘Sona’ is that, Priyanka Chopra has now stepped down as the partner of the said restaurant. As per a media statement to the People magazine, the said restaurant’s representative had confirmed that ‘Priyanka has stepped away from her partnership at Sona and that, ‘bringing Sona to life will invariably be a proud and significant moment in her career. Stepping away from Sona allows her to broaden these ambitions globally, and she’s excited about the possibilities that await’.

With Priyanka Chopra stepping out, the ‘Sona’ restaurant is now reported to be handled by its co-founder Maneesh K. Goyal, as per the media reports available. On his part, Maneesh K. Goyal, in a media statement to People magazine, said that, ‘We're grateful for her partnership and support. While she will no longer be involved as a creative partner moving forward, she remains in the Sona family and we are excited about our respective new chapters ahead’.

On the work front, Priyanka Chopra will now be seen in the Hollywood flick 'Heads of State' alongwith Idris Elba and John Cena.
