As we all get into the holiday groove with Christmas just a couple of days away, followed by New Year’s, we are also about to witness the release of the final show of the year. It is none other than What If…? Season 3, which continues to be one of the most loved shows across the world. This Marvel Cinematic Universe offering is the final season of the franchise and raises the stakes significantly. Naturally, curiosity about the show is at an all-time high. In India, there’s always some confusion about when the content will drop. While Season 3 will be released on December 22 in most parts of the world, it will arrive in India on December 23. Here's when you need to tune in to watch the final season of What If…?

What If…? Season 3 Highlights

What If…? Season 3 features fan-favorite characters such as Captain America/Sam Wilson, The Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes, Hulk/Bruce Banner, The Red Guardian, Captain Peggy Carter, Agatha Harkness, Shang-Chi, Storm the Goddess of Thunder, and many others.

The show is directed by Bryan Andrews and Stephan Franck. The season is written by Matthew Chauncey, Ryan Little, and A.C. Bradley. Executive producers include Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, and Bryan Andrews, with co-executive producer Matthew Chauncey, and producers Danielle Costa, Carrie Wassenaar, and Alex Scharf.

Release Format

What If…? Season 3 will hit Disney+ Hotstar in India on December 22, 2024, and will run for eight days, with one episode dropping daily until the finale airs on December 29, 2024. For India, the show debuts on December 23 and concludes with the eighth episode on December 30. In the United States, the show releases at 9 PM ET and 6 PM PT. Viewers worldwide can catch it at 9 PM in Canada, 10 PM in Brazil, 2 AM UK and Portugal time, and 3 AM in Spain and Central Europe. In India, the first episode will be available at 6:30 AM on December 23, with subsequent episodes dropping daily at the same time until December 30.

Episode Titles

Marvel Studios recently revealed the intriguing episode titles for What If…? Season 3. While the finale, titled What If…? What If…? has everyone buzzing, there’s much more to decode. Agatha Harkness goes to Hollywood, Red Guardian fights Winter Soldier, Howard the Duck gets married on Christmas, and more. However, the standout is the fifth episode titled What If… The Emergence Destroyed The Earth?

This title is an instant callback to Eternals, where the heroes prevented the Emergence by killing the Celestial, Tiamut. The fifth episode imagines a scenario where the Emergence wasn’t stopped, leading to Earth’s destruction by Arishem. The idea is intriguing, and fans are eagerly awaiting its release. The curiosity is further heightened since the future of the Eternals in the MCU remains uncertain.
