What If…? Season 3: Episode titles, and the shocking connection to Eternals, release format - Everything we know so far

While the Marvel Cinematic Universe has found good momentum again with Deadpool & Wolverine and Agatha All Along after a series of duds and critically rejected movies and shows, an IP that has been successful for them regardless of what released around it is What If…? The show about endless possibilities has been one of the most beloved franchises to ever come out of the Disney+ X Marvel mill. The show was hailed for its concept, and the fans have been hooked on what it brings. We have already seen two very successful seasons, and the studio is now coming up with the third season releasing this week, and we cannot wait.

The Eternals Connect

To mark the occasion, they have now announced the titles of all the episodes of What If…? Season Three, and they all sound too exciting. While everyone is busy figuring out what the finale titled What If…? What If…? means, there is so much to decode. Agatha Harkness is going to Hollywood, Red Guardian is going to fight Winter Soldier, Howard the Duck is getting married on Christmas, and there is so much more. But what becomes the highlight is the fifth episode title: What If… The Emergence Destroyed the Earth?

The title is an instant callback to the events of Eternals, where the Eternals stopped the Emergence by killing the Celestial now referred to as Tiamut. So, it is given that the fifth episode will show what it would have been like if the Eternals hadn't been able to stop the Emergence and the Earth was destroyed by Arishem. The idea is interesting, and many will be waiting for the episode to drop. However, there is also curiosity because the Eternals’ future is still very much in the dark right now.

The third season of What If…? will be the last and final season of the show, and that makes it even more exciting. It features a brilliant voice cast, which includes recurring and new actors reprising/voicing various characters. Season 3 features fan-favorite characters like Captain America/Sam Wilson, The Winter Soldier/Bucky Barnes, Hulk/Bruce Banner, The Red Guardian, Captain Peggy Carter, Agatha Harkness, Shang-Chi, Storm the Goddess of Thunder, and many others.

The show is directed by Bryan Andrews and Stephan Franck. What If…? Season 3 is written by Matthew Chauncey, Ryan Little, and A.C. Bradley. Executive producers are Brad Winderbaum, Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Dana Vasquez-Eberhardt, and Bryan Andrews, with co-executive producer Matthew Chauncey, and producers Danielle Costa, Carrie Wassenaar, and Alex Scharf.

What If…? Season 3 will hit Disney+ Hotstar in India on December 22, 2024, and will run for eight days, with one episode dropping each day until December 29, 2024, when the finale airs.
