Stranger Things' final season is approaching, and every fan is eager to see how the iconic show will conclude. In a new interview, David Harbour, who plays Hopper in the series, revealed that he has known the finale plot for years but that he is not out to spoil the show for anyone. The last season will premiere on May 27, followed by the final two episodes on July 1.
Stranger Things follows the adventures of a group of kids in Hawkins, Indiana, and how their lives are altered when one of their own is abducted by a sinister world known as the Upside Down. The show is a mix of science fiction, fantasy, and horror, including monsters, failed research experiments, and superpowered children. David takes on the role of Jim Hopper, the village sheriff.
"What happened to Hopper?" David said in a recent interview with Variety regarding his role. He also rhetrorically asked if his character is the one who can endure Hawkins or will he perish. The actor revealed that he is aware of what is occurring, and it's pretty moving and lovely.
David went on to say that he told the show's creators, the Duffer Brothers, early on in the first season that he needed to know how it all ended. The actor needed to know as soon as they started shooting because he needed to know where his character ended up and why he ended up there. He believes the Duffers' actions will have some morality — or at the very least, responsible storytelling. The actor, however, stated that he would not give any major spoilers. And David swore that he would keep this one to his grave, and it's a big one.
The first eight minutes of video from the forthcoming season were recently revealed, showing Eleven's (Millie Bobby Brown) rampage at the Hawkins facility. Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Noah Schnapp, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzo, Natalia Dyer, Charlie Heaton, Joe Keery, and Maya Hawke all star in the series.
