Tamil superstar Ajith Kumar is under scrutiny for assisting Bollywood icon Aamir Khan, who found himself stranded during the Chennai floods. Criticism has surfaced, questioning whether Ajith's philanthropy extended to the less privileged and influential individuals grappling with the aftermath of Cyclone Michaung.
Tamil actor Bose Venkat led the criticism against Ajith, sparking strong reactions on social media. "Tamil Nadu takes care of all her guests. The state will keep all the North Indian safe. You have good connections, but the voices of poor, who buy tickets for your films, will never reach your ears. You could have arranged one boat for the poor," he tweeted.
For context, Aamir Khan was trapped in a flooded residential area in Karapakkam. After nearly 24 hours, Aamir, along with actor Vishnu Vishal and his family, was rescued by boat. Vishnu disclosed that the rescue operations aided 30 people, including women and the elderly, in reaching safety.
In a subsequent tweet, Vishnu shared a photo of himself with Ajith and Aamir on dry ground, expressing gratitude for Ajith's assistance. "After gettting to know our situation through a common friend, The ever helpful Ajith Sir came to check in on us and helped with travel arrangements for our villa community members…Love you Ajith Sir!," Vishnu posted.
Following this, many have raised questions about Ajith's contribution to the rescue efforts focused on common people. However, his fans have come out in his defence, slamming his critics. Some fans claimed that Ajith has been quietly providing financial and other essential support to many individuals without seeking attention, emphasizing his preference for a low-profile approach.

"#AjithKumar prefers to help people without seeking attention for it. He's not like politicians who often publicize their actions, others eyeing a future in politics who tend to highlight their deeds for visibility," claimed a fan on X.
"Dear Bose, AJITH sir is not a Politician and No one has the Right to question him about the assistance provided by him to the Needy from his OWN EARNED MONEY. Don't mix your HATE/Politics with an Individual Star's Life," wrote another fan.
"When you can't question a government , why asking an actor , that too Vishnu Vishal said , AK helped their whole community to get out," questioned the other.
