Former talk show host Wendy Williams was recently diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia and frontotemporal dementia. Now, she has shared her first response ever since news about her illness broke. “Please just know that your positivity and encouragement are deeply appreciated,” Wendy Williams shared via her representative ahead of the release of her upcoming documentary today. Notably, actor Bruce Willis was also diagnosed with the same disease last year.

In a press release, her team confirmed that the TV star is suffering from a medical condition that affects communication abilities and language, along with cognitive behaviours. The statement comes ahead of the release of a lifetime documentary that is based on Williams’ health condition.
After the revelation, fans sent well wishes to The Wendy Williams Show host. “I hope that others with FTD may benefit from my story. I continue to need personal space and peace to thrive. Please just know that your positivity and encouragement are deeply appreciated,” Williams shared with the Hollywood Reporter.
She also appreciated the efforts of the Association for Frontotemporal Degeneration and acknowledged their kind gesture and extraordinary support to raise awareness of FTD.

Lifetime’s new documentary, 'Where is Wendy Williams?' is all set to be released on February 24 and 25 with the first part releasing today.
The documentary will showcase the health struggles of Wendy Williams with rare interview footage. ‘The Wendy Williams Show,’ which was a popular daytime talk show, abruptly ended in June 2022, following William's health crisis. She will be seen on air two years later in the two-part documentary.
