Welcome to the Jungle: Akshay Kumar and team to lock horns with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's Alpha on Christmas 2025 - Report

After having an average 2024, Akshay Kumar is gearing up for a super 2025 with his multiple releases. Currently, the actor is busy promoting his upcoming film, Sky Force, which also stars Nimrat Kaur and Veer Pahariya. Apart from this, he has Welcome to the Jungle, which is one of the most awaited films, thanks to the biggest ensemble cast. The excitement around it has been sky-high ever since the announcement video was posted on social media. Update about Welcome to the Jungle

A while ago, Pinkvilla reported that Akshay and the team will be ready to entertain the audience on Christmas this year. The film is being designed as a big-ticket entertainer. A source told the portal that 75% of the shoot is wrapped up, and the team has also locked a nearly 2-hour edit of the entire footage shot to date. The source added, "The film is being mounted at a big scale and the stakeholders are extremely happy with everything that they have seen on the edit table. The core plot of the film takes the entire cast on an unexpected adventure – ranging from the forests of India to Kashmir."

Welcome to the Jungle is expected to be wrapped up by June 2025. The makers have already started the VFX work for the already-shot footage and it is nearing completion. As and when they shoot further, the team will work on it too. The source further shared, "Welcome To The Jungle is among the ambitious comedies of Indian Cinema, given the genre and the ensemble cast. The film is packaged with gags and one-liners, bringing back the ‘twisted’ side of the Khiladi."

Cast of Welcome to the Jungle

Apart from Akshay, the third installment of Welcome features a talented ensemble cast. The cast includes Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Raveena Tandon, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shreyas Talpade, Johny Lever, Rajpal Yadav, and Lara Dutta among others. 

Interestingly, the film will lock horns with Alia Bhatt and Sharvari Wagh's spy film, Alpha. During the same period, Maddock Films' Shakti Shalini will also release ie, on 31st December 2025. It is reported that Kiara Advani will headline the film.
