Web shows, short films featuring Nimrat Kaur that you cannot miss watching

Nimrat Kaur, who was first recognized as 'every housewife ever' in Irrfan Khan-Nawazuddin Siddiqui's The Lunchbox, has come a long way since.

The female actor has worked in fewer but impactful movies. She is last remembered for her role in Akshay Kumar's Airlift. The actress served as an inspiration for the whole idea of the airlift. The movie, giving a glimpse of how women were treated when Iraq had infiltrated Kuwait, left quite the impact in people's minds.

Meanwhile, Kaur also started leaving her mark with web shows (even internationally) and short films.

Homeland

If Priyanka Chopra Jonas had Quantico, Kaur had Homeland. However, unlike Jonas, Kaur did not have a lead role in the web show.

She played the role of Pakistan's ISI agent Tasneem Qureshi. The role, even if for a brief appearance, was a recurring one on the show.

In Homeland, CBI agent Carrie Mathison had received information that an American agent had joined Al-Queeda. She is on the search to filter out the agent in question.

Homeland, a show filled with constant edge-of-the-seat suspense, action and drama, streams on Disney+Hotstar.

The Test Case

Kaur stood out in The Test Case. She literally had no other option. The actress played the lead role of Captain Shikha Sharma, who was the first female soldier being put to test.

Her future would also determine the future of the upcoming female soldiers, which is why Sharma had to put in all of her efforts into ensuring no mistake.

Love Shots

Nimrat Kaur was seen opposite Tahir Raj Bhasin in Y Films' web series Love Shots. Her character named Archie, took a journey with Nikhil (Bhasin) to reminscise their love.

The short film focuses on insecurities (where the woman brings up his ex, while he talks about her brother disapproving of their relationship). However, there is a twist that the viewers would probably not expect.

El'Ayichi

Devashish Makhija managed to present a short film with a message through El'Ayichi.

The short film is the story of 'Padu' Nimrat Kaur who is constantly haunted by the ghost of her husband Samar (played by Divyendu Sharma). How she dealt with the situation will make you take notice of the actress.

Bonus TV show: Wayward Pines

Kaur appeared in the second season of Fox Broadcasting Company's Wayward Pines. The actress featured as Rebecca Yedlin opposite actor Matt Dillon, who played the lead role of a US Secret Service Agent Ethan Burke on the show.

The show is a science-fiction, which was the first for Kaur. The story revolves around Burkhe, who discovers some mysterious circumstances post his car accident and landing in the small town of Wayward Pines, Idaho.

Unfortunately the TV series is currently not available on any OTT platform in India.
