Weapon trailer: Watch Vasanth Ravi attempting to finish off superhuman Sathyaraj with all mighty force

The trailer of Weapon, the upcoming Tamil film starring actors Vasanth Ravi and Sathyaraj in the lead roles, was released by the makers on social media recently. The film is set to have a May release, although a release date is yet to be announced.

The trailer begins with someone talking about an assassination mission of someone who is no ordinary man. We are also informed that despite sending 35 gangs to execute the mission, none of them returned alive. We are also told that the whereabouts the target are not known and possesses the power to even crush the bullets that touch him. While we are hinted that he may be a superhero or a monster, there are plenty of action sequences filling out the trailer. Sathyaraj is shown as the superhero target, while Vasanth Ravi comes as someone who is there to finish him off.

Besides Vasanth Ravi and Sathyaraj, the upcoming film also stars Rajiv Menon, Tanya Hope, Rajeev Pillai, Yashika Aannand, Mime Gopi, Kaniha, Gajaraj, Syed Subhan, Baradwaj Rangan, Velu Prabhakaran, Maya Krishnan, Shiyas Kareem, Benito Franklin, Raghu Esakki and others. The film is directed by Guhan Senniappan.

Weapon has music scored by Ghibran and is touted to be a superhuman story, one of rare kinds in Tamil cinema. Weapon marks the first time the actors are sharing screen space. The film is shot by cinematographer Prabhu Raghav, with Gopi Krishna in charge of editing. Sudesh has handed the stunts and Subenthar PL is the art director. The film is produced by M S Manzoor under the banner Million Studio.

Meanwhile, Vasanth Ravi was last seen in romantic comedy film Pon Ondru Kanden, co-starring Ashok Selvan and Aishwarya Lekshmi. The film is streaming on JioCinema. The actor also has Indra with director Sabarish Nanda, which will also star Mehreen Pirzada, Anikha Surendran, Snil and Kalyan Master.
