Watch Skylab trailer: Nithya Menen-Satyadev starrer fetches an eccentric theme

The trailer of Nithya Menen and Satyadev starrer Skylab just dropped, and looks like an eccentric concept is on its way. Set on the backdrop of a village, the story revolves around the collapse of a space satellite called Skylab, which starts heading towards the Earth.

The three-minute clip features Nithya as a journalist who has returned to her village after higher studies. The funny tone takes a turn to curiosity, when the news of Skylab breaks out. The villagers, including central characters of Nithya and Satyadev named as Gauri and Anand, seem to be making it a bigger deal, and waiting to know if the collapse will happen. 

The theme and narrative look quite unique and appealing, as it is packed in a funny box, with a quirky background score. ‘A walk down our history, will be a run of comedy’, reads the ending note of the trailer.

The audiences seem to be delighted after the trailer release, as the video has received high numbers of likes within hours of its release. The comment session is getting loaded with hopeful words, where many hail the trailer as a promising one. The cinematography and music have also been receiving appraisals by fans.

Helmed by Vishak Khanderao, the Telugu-language movie has an ensemble cast including Rahul Ramakrishna Tanikella Bharani, Vishnu Oi, Anusha and Tulasi. The plot of the movie is set in the 70s, with the events taking place in Bandalingampalli village of Telangana, when USA’s first Skylab fell on the Earth. 

Skylab is backed by Prithvi Pinnamaraju, along with Nithya as co-producer under the production banners of Byte Features and Nithya Menen Company respectively. Music is composed by Prashanth Vihari, while Aditya handles the cinematography.
