Looks like the role of Narasimha in Jailer will go down as one of Shiva Rajkumar's most memorable outings, even though he only makes a special cameo appearance in the film. Social media has been abuzz with appreciation posts for the actor ever since the film debuted in theatres on August 10, with many even claiming that his entry (along with Mohanlal's) is one of its main highlights.

Shivanna, as he is fondly referred to by his fans back home, has been busy giving interviews to media outlets over the past few days, speaking mainly about the experience of sharing the screen with superstar Rajinikanth for the first time. He has also revealed that he has received two offers for two full-fledged Tamil films but things, apparently, are yet to fall into place.

Very recently, Shiva Rajkumar treated the patrons of the popular Kannada reality show Dance Karnataka Dance by recreating the epic Jailer moment. Many would know that the veteran actor serves as the Mahaguru on the show and the latest episode saw him making a snazzy entry as Narasimha (his character from Jailer) and received a thunderous response from the live audience. Donning a black ensemble of shirt and veshti and coolly resting a lit cigar between his lips, Shivanna floored everyone present, including the episode's guests Dhruva Sarja and AP Arjun.

Directed by Nelson, Jailer has emerged as a huge success at the box office and has also enunciated just how much superstar Rajinikanth is adored by his millions of fans. The 72-year-old actor might have encountered a slightly lean patch in the recent past with Darbar, Annaatthe and others not weaving the usual Rajini magic, but those results have evidently not had any impact on Jailer. The film, which also stars Ramya Krishnan, Jackie Shroff, Vinayakan, Vasanth Ravi and others, has already grossed over Rs. 500 crores worldwide and is yet to show signs of stopping.
