When Rocky Bhai (Yash) set eyes on Reena (Srinidhi Shetty) for the first time in KGF: Chapter 1, it was love at first sight for him, but not so much for her. Reena couldn’t stand Rocky’s guts and it took a while for her to really understand the man that he is and appreciate him. Reena opens up her heart to the man she previously despised and who had brought her to his house against her will when she sees the good that he has been doing for the erstwhile slaves of the Naraachi mines in KGF.

So, when she says, “Congratulations, I love you”, it not only signals her feelings for him, but that he has finally won her over. And then comes Mehabooba, a beautiful romantic number, sung by Ananya Bhat and composed by Ravi Basrur. This was a song that the makers did not reveal prior to the release of the film, because of how much of the story it reveals. Audiences saw and heard it for the first time in theatres. In fact, even the lyrical video that came out subsequently had no visuals from the film. Now, almost a month since KGF: Chapter 2 has been in theatres, the team has released the full video of the beautiful number featuring Yash and Srinidhi Shetty.

KGF: Chapter 2, which released in theatres worldwide on April 14, 2022, is continuing its dream run at the box office and has collected over Rs 1,000 crore at the box office so far. The film could be on course to break the record held by SS Rajamoulli’s Baahubali 2, if it continues at this pace. Starring Yash in the lead, KGF: Chapter 2 also has Sanjay Dutt, Raveena Tandon, Prakash Raj, Achyuth Kumar, Malavika Avinash, Ayyappa P Sharma, Tarak Ponnappa, BS Avinash, among others, in pivotal roles. The film’s digital rights have been sold to Amazon Prime Video and is expected to drop on the platform on or before 60 days from its theatrical release.
