Steven Spielberg, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman's third most awaited collaboration, Masters of the Air took the internet by storm after Apple TV+ unveiled its first trailer on November 9, and fans are overwhelmed with Austin Butler's look in the period drama. Previously the executive producers had delivered together Band of Brothers and The Pacific.

Cast and Plot

The charismatic Austin Butler and Fantastic Beasts fame Callum Turner lead the ensemble cast of Masters of the Air. The stellar cast also includes Anthony Boyle, Nate Mann, Rafferty Law, Barry Keoghan, Josiah Cross, Branden Cook, and Ncuti Gatwa in prominent roles.

Based on Donald L. Miller's popular book, Masters of the Air, is penned by John Orloff. This period drama revolves around a group of men of the 100th Bomb Group, aka the Bloody Hundredth on the dangerous mission of bomb raids to destroy Hitler’s Third Reich in Nazi-occupied Germany as they battle the extreme weather conditions, oxygen shortage, and war atrocity amid the brutal aerial combat, a thousand feet above in the sky.

The promising 2:08-minute trailer narrates the events of the war crimes during Hitler's reign of terror. As Austin Butler says, "Let's rack 'em up and knock them down," the trailer hints the soldiers teaming up to fight against the odds with a common purpose. This survival horror narrates the tale of Air Force soldiers and Commanders who grapple to find solace amid the life and death situation.

Fans React to the first trailer

This historical drama received wide positive feedback after its first trailedrunveiled today. Fans hopped on the social media platform to drop in their reactions. One excited fan commented, "My mind is telling me yes. My body is also telling me yes". While another applauded Butler's look and wrote, "MY GAWD!!!!!!! AUSTIN LOOKS BEAUTIFUL IN THIS!!!!!!!!." Another one said, "AustinButler finally making me get Apple TV."

Other fans strongly expressed their desire to watch the series. One commented, "Can’t wait looks like it will be a winner."

When and Where to watch

The nine-episodic mini-series, executively produced by Spielberg, Hanks, and Gary Goetzman will begin its World War II journey on the streaming platform Apple TV+ on January 26, next year.
