Jake Gyllenhaal takes his craft seriously, leaving no stone unturned to play his characters convincingly. On Friday, Jake was shooting a scene for the remake of Road House, in which he was required to be shirtless.
Jake has been busy with the shoot of the remake of the 1989 Patrick Swayze film, which is a reimagining of the story with a former UFC fighter, Elwood Dalton. Jake plays Elwood’s role.
On Friday, Jake and MMA artist Conor McGregor crashed the UFC 285 weigh-in at T-Mobile Arena to film a scene for the film. Conor makes his acting debut in the film. Although Conor was present, he wasn't part of the scene.
The scene that was filmed was a fictional middleweight title bout between Jake and his co-star, UFC veteran Jay Hieron. And Jake left fans stunned. A ripped Jake weighed in at a podium before slapping Jay. Jake, as Elwood, also roared for the crowd, showing his angst. And his toned body, with bulging muscles and washboard abs, has set the internet on fire.
Those present couldn't help but comment that Jake looks "shredded" and "ripped".
Jake’s transformation has been catching the attention of many. Last month, Arnold Schwarzenegger praised Jake for his physical transformation, saying that he was in incredible shape. Arnold added that the transformation is extraordinary because there is literally zero fat.
