Fans and their craze for their idols are not new in the industry. Be it for actors, singers, or anyone, fans devour their love for their favourite idols. However, Udit Narayan, one of the most famous singers, recently faced a major backlash after he lip-kissed a female fan during a live performance. After the videos went viral on social media, netizens slammed the veteran singer. 

Internet slams Udit Narayan after he lip-kissed a female fan

According to videos circulating on social media, Udit Narayan was performing Tip Tip Barsa Pani when his female fans gathered near the stage to take selfies with him. One of his female fans turned around and kissed him on the cheek and the singer returned the woman's gesture by kissing her on the lips. This gesture went viral on social media and the singer was trolled massively.

Netizens' reactions for Udit Narayan incident

When another woman tried to kiss and hug the singer, Udit Narayan planted a kiss on her cheek. According to a viral video from the show, the singer kissed another woman on the lips. The crowd cheered and women lined up to take selfies with the singer.

Udit Narayan received massive trolls on social media. One X user wrote, “Tell me it’s AI tell me it is!! What a nightmare. Beyond the boundaries of disgust." Another wrote, “A singer of his stature should be super conscious of his deeds in public." A third user wrote, “Udit Narayan…no way… I hope this is AI… if not… the whole legacy is completely destroyed…" Another added, “The crowd cheering is making it worse."

What are Udit Narayan's fans saying?

Despite the backlash, some of the singer's fans supported him. One person wrote, “I mean this is disgusting… but what’s wrong with this? Were they forced? No, they willingly came up there to him…" Another added, “He’s definitely a weirdo for kissing random people but these ladies are also going consensually so what can we do really? I don’t understand this level or fan behaviour from people." 

One person said, “The last one? She came near him probably after seeing what was happening and went for a kiss on his cheeks…"

However, Udit Narayan has yet to address the incident.
