Team Kishmish is back with a second song from the film ‘Kishmish, Oboseshe’, which is composed and written by debutant music director Nilayan Chatterjee. Arijit Singh has crooned the feel-good romantic number, and to celebrate the event Dev and Rukmini Maitra took a metro ride in Kolkata.

The event was organised by Incoda TV and the lead actors doled out a portion of the song while taking the ride.

According to a report by ABP Ananda, both Dev and Rukmini were excited about Kishmish’s release and the innovative promo strategy. The surprise metro promotion is the brainchild of Dev.

“I’m taking the metro ride after almost 10 years but yes, I do believe that the Metro railways are the lifeline of Kolkata. I always enjoyed my solo rides and the train plays a pivotal role in Kishmish so I had to take this ride to feel the old charm once again (sic),” the actor told ABP Ananda.

Kismish is directed by Rahool Mukherjee while Nilayan Chatterjee has composed and wrote the tracks. The movie also stars Kharaj Mukherjee, Anjana Basu, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, June Maliah in pivotal roles, and Rituparna Sengupta, Jisshu Sengupta, Ankush and Srabanti Chatterjee in cameos.

‘Tui Bolbo Na Tumi’, the first song from the Kismish soundtrack was released recently, and since then the fans are growing impatient for more. Kishmish promises to deliver the beguiling yet enchanting effects of romance and longing between two people.
The trailer shows both Dev and Rukmini in four different characters from different timelines from age 18 to 45 years. Dev had to lose almost 15 kgs to play the role of a college-goer in the movie.

This movie will see Dev and Rukmini share the screen after 2019’s Password, directed by Kamaleshwar Mukherjee. Incidentally, Kamaleshwar and June Maliah is essaying the role of Rukmini’s onscreen father and mother in Kishmish.

Kishmish will release on April 29 in theatres.
