Back when Varun and Shraddha were shooting for ABCD 2, Shraddha had shared that she confessed her love for Varun over a mountaintop. This started a controversy – that she is in a relationship with Varun.
A report on Filmibeat back in 2015 mentions sources who shared that Shraddha was indeed in a rebound relationship with Varun after parting ways with Aditya. None of it obviously is publicly announced since neither Shraddha nor Aditya confirmed their relationship in public, if they even had one in the first place.
The report elaborated Shraddha’s ‘controversies’ over the years, including her tantrums and ‘secret relationship’ with Aditya. Her wardrobe malfunctions were also pointed out in the report.
As per her equation with Varun, he had clarified the rumours back in 2015-16 itself. Even though Shraddha always had a massive crush on him, Varun’s faded with time. She had once proposed to him as an eight-year-old. Shraddha told Varun you-love-I and got a stern rejection from Varun. After growing up though, Varun and Shraddha can now joke about the situation.
During one of her interviews, Shraddha revealed that she and Varun were best friends since childhood. She shared that the two went to rival schools and thus, would compete with each other. However, with time, they matured and were able to talk about many things.
Various reports state that Shraddha was dating Aditya since Aashiqui 2 but they went through a rough phase in 2015. That is when news reports about Varun being Shraddha’s rebound relationship started making the rounds. The actors have clarified their stance on the rumour long back – or at least Varun did. He is now happily married to his childhood friend Natasha Dalal and the two are raising their pet doggo Joey together.
