Warner Bros has announced the release date shuffle of many of its upcoming features including Aquaman 2, Shazam 2, The Flash, Wonka and Black Adam.
COVID-19 related production delays have led to the postponement of Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and The Flash. From December 16 the Jason Momoa film has now shifted to March 17, 2023. Ezra Miller's standalone outing has gone from November 4 date to June 23, 2023.
Meanwhile, Dwayne Johnson's Black Adam will be out on to October 21. DC League of Super Pets has taken the film's original release date that was July 29. It was previously slated to be out on May 20.
Shazam! Fury of the Gods, which will see Zachary Levi reprise his role, will hit cinemas on December 12 this year instead of June 2, 2023.
Other Warner Bros projects like Timothee Chalamet’s Wonka, where he will play the choclatier previously emulated by Johnny Depp and Gene Wilder, has been moved to from March 17, 2023 to December 15, 2023.
Variety adds that there is also Meg 2: The Trench, starring Jason Statham, which will be released on August 4, 2023.
