War 2: Ayan Mukerji kicks off work on Hrithik Roshan and Jr. NTR's actioner in full swing

The Yash Raj Films spy universe is moving forward at full speed. Ayan Mukerji has started working on the sequel to War (2019), while Siddharth Anand is preoccupied with both Fighter and Tiger vs. Pathaan. Pathaan's popularity has made it clear that future films in the spy universe need to up the ante. War 2, starring Hrithik Roshan, is rumoured to have begun casting, and Ayan is already hard at work on the script.

A reliable source told Midday that the filmmaker has been meeting with the body doubles for Hrithik. Last week, Ayan held auditions for nearly fifty actors who resembled the actor. It wasn't a case of looking for a double. He is looking for someone with Hrithik's build and proportions.

The source added that Ayan has already started casting stunt doubles this early in order to choreograph the fight sequences with precision, and the last audition saw some people get shortlisted, but he'll be meeting more people next week.

NTR Jr. is locking horns with Hrithik Roshan in War 2, and it's going to be an epic action adventure. Their intellectual and physical confrontation promises to be a thrilling cinematic event. Aditya Chopra, the head of YRF, made this decision, which increases the film's chances at the box office and gives War 2 the widest possible audience appeal for a Hindi film.

The subsequent hit in YRF's espionage universe, which also features the first chapter of War starring Roshan and Tiger Shroff, was Pathaan, which Siddharth Anand directed and starred Shah Rukh Khan. The first two Tiger films, starring Salman Khan, were Ek Tha Tiger (2012) and Tiger Zinda Hai (2017).
