Bobby Kolli has directed the movie which stars Ravi Teja, too, in a crucial role

Chiranjeevi's project with Bobby Kolli has been tentatively titled Mega 154 ever since it was announced. But there was spread speculation about the makers considering Waltair Veerayya as its title. The teaser update revealed by the team today has confirmed the title, leaving fans elated. As expected, they have also announced that the film will hit the screens for Sankranthi.
The two-and-a-half minutes title teaser features an electrifying introduction sequence of the Megastar as Veerayya after a dreaded criminal suspects his 'stamina'. Leading action choreographer Stun Siva plays the latter in the title teaser.
Chiranjeevi sports a massy avatar and is seen dressed in a colourful shirt, blue lungi and a pair of red shoes. His walking style and the manner in which he exudes swag while lighting a beedi leave his fans excited. They have been taking to social media to express their excitement of having got back their matinee idol in the way they wanted to see him on screen.
Ravi Teja will play a crucial character in the movie; his role is another highlight of the project which has music by Devi Sri Prasad. Shruti Haasan is teaming up with Chiranjeevi for the first time in a film.
Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar have produced Waltair Veerayya under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers. Arthur A Wilson and Niranjan Devaramane have handled cinematography and editing respectively for the movie which has action choreography helmed by Ram-Lakshman.
Kona Venkat and K Chakravarthy Reddy have penned the screenplay for the movie which will be Chiranjeevi's first outing in 2023. This will be followed by Meher Ramesh's Bholaa Shankar which will be released in April.
