Varun Tej, who was lying low post the debacle of Ghani has signed back-to-back films. His new film, Gandeevadhari Arjuna is all set for a release on August 25, 2023. The action drama has been directed by Praveen Sattaru, who is known to make stylish action films. Then, Varun Tej also signed a film with Palasa director, Karuna Kumar for a gambling drama titled Matka. The film was launched a few days back.
On the other hand, Sony Pictures International Productions, have announced their next multilingual, to be produced simultaneously in Hindi and Telugu. Varun Tej will be playing the main lead in this bilingual that the banner is co-producing alongside Ghani makers, Renaissance Pictures.
The film has gone on floors and has also completed two small schedules already. Varun will be seen in a special role of a pilot in this film. Well, the makers have launched the first look of the film and it has been titled Operation Valentine which sounds quite interesting. The action drama revolves around the life of an airforce officer.
As per the update from the makers, the film is based on real incidents and promises to be an ode to the Indian Air Force. The film will mark Varun Tej’s entry into the Hindi market and will also launch cinematographer and Ad-filmmaker Shakti Pratap Singh as the director. Hindi actress, Manushi Chillar will be playing the female lead.
VT13 will be shot in Telugu and Hindi simultaneously and will have a grand release on December 8, 2023. Speaking about the film, Varun Tej says that he was glad to have earned the opportunity to play an Indian Air Force officer on screen for the first time in his career. Adding further, Varun says that Operation Valentine will be an edge-of-the-seat thriller and depict the sacrifices of our heroes as they confront one of the biggest, fiercest aerial attacks that the country has ever seen.
