VRL head honcho Vijay Sankeshwar's biopic, Vijayanand, to release in 50+ screens in UK

Vijayanand will release only in Kannada and Telugu in the United Kingdom with the dubbed Telugu version getting a bigger release in terms of screen count.

Come December 9, the Kannada Film Industry will deliver yet another pan-India product in the form of Vijayanand. The biographical drama is centred on the life of the very popular transport and media magnate Vijay Sankeshwar and is set to release worldwide on December 9 in 5 different languages.

Citing the universal appeal of this real-life inspiring story, team Vijayanand has opted for wide theatrical distribution in the UK with the film releasing in 60 screens in England, Scotland, and other relevant regions. Vijayanand will release only in Kannada and Telugu in the United Kingdom with the dubbed Telugu version getting a bigger release in terms of screen count.

As shared by Ahimsa Entertainment, the agency distributing Vijayanand in the UK, the Kannada version will be released in 18 screens whereas the Telugu version has 42 screens to its name.

Vijayanand follows the journey of Vijay Sankeshwar who started his logistics firm VRL group with only one truck and rose to such heights over the years that he currently owns the largest fleet of commercial vehicles in India. Alongside, he is also the founder of multiple leading publications in Karnataka such as Vijaya Karnataka (sold later to Bennett, Coleman and Co. Ltd.), Vijaya Vani, etc. and also a popular TV news channel. 

Spanning multiple decades, Vijayanand boasts the entire timeline of Vijay Sankeshwar's journey to the top. Nihal Rajput plays the titular role in the film with Rishika Sharma directing the film based on a script she wrote. The film has been produced by Anand Sankeshwar (son of Vijay Sankeshwar) under the VRL Film Productions banner with the extended cast including Anant Nag, Bharath Bopanna, Siri Prahalad, Vinaya Prasad, Prakash Belawadi, V Ravichandran, Anish Kuruvilla, Ramesh Bhat, Dayal Padmanabhan, Shine Shetty, and Archana Kottige. Gopi Sundar C serves as the music composer with Keertan Poojary handling the cinematography.
