The plot revolves around Sathyanathan (Dileep), a furniture store owner who frequently lands in trouble due to his slip of the tongue. His wife, Susan (Veena), is an innocent rural woman living in a small world. Sathyanathan has ongoing issues with his neighbour, Thavala (Siddique). The film follows unexpected events in Sathyanathan's life, including his arrest for threatening the Indian President and his efforts to save the life of a convict named Balan (Joju George).
