VJ Sunny's Sakala Gunabhi Rama joins the box office race this weekend

Bigg Boss Telugu fame VJ Sunny is headlining an entertainer Sakala Gunabhi Rama, a film helmed by Srinivas Veligonda. Asheema plays the female lead in the project bankrolled by Sanjeev Reddy. Noted distributor Adi Narayana is distributing the film scross Telugu states via SKML Motion Pictures. The family entertainer is set to release on September 16. Bigg Boss Telugu contestants Sohel, Manas, Jessie, Hameeda and anchor Ravi came forward to support Sunny at a recent promotional event. 

Sunny thanked his Bigg Boss Telugu friends for their presence at the event and said that the show gave them a platform to reach out to people. "I got an opportunity to play the male lead even before I joined Bigg Boss and I'll be thankful to my producer and director for the same. Anudeep's songs have come out well. I wish Sohel and Manas' films too do well in theatres. Our film is releasing in 100 theatres this weekend and I hope we entertain audiences."

Director Srinivas Veligonda felt that small films face a lot of issues at the time of release but thanked the producer and distributor for ensuring Sakala Gunabhi Rama a good release. The film began as a project made on a shoestring-budget and the filmmaker expressed his happiness about its grand release this weekend. "We really worked hard with a bunch of newcomers. This is an out-and-out family entertainer and I'm sure crowds will like it."

Ashima Narwal said she would be grateful to the director and the producer for this opportunity. Sohel, Manas and anchor Ravi mentioned that it was their common love for cinema that brought them together and wished the best for Sunny. Gemini Suresh, Sarayu, Chammak Chandra, Shri Tej, Sarayu and Taruni Singh and others play important roles in the film too. Nalinikanth cranks the camera for the film that's edited by Venkat.
