Viswam box office day 3: The Gopichand starrer takes a very slow start

Viswam was a do-or-die film for both Gopichand and Sreenu Vaitla as they have not scored a single hit for the last few years. The action drama hit the screens on October 11, 2024, and started with a very mixed talk from all quarters. But the occupancy has grown from the day of its release thanks to its promos filled with comedy.

This has happened as the other releases this week have disappointed big time. The numbers are out and Viswam has made Rs 5.2 crore in its first three days of its release. The third day being a Sunday is the biggest as the film is likely to make just above Rs 2 crore.

However, Viswam will be tested in a big way once the weekdays are done. Also, the Dussehra festival will be done by that time and we need to see how the Gopichand starrer will cope with the pressure. People Media Factory has bankrolled the film on a budget of Rs 35 crore.

A chunk of the revenue has been recovered from the OTT and dubbing rights of the film. Amazon Prime Video has bagged the digital rights of Viswam for a fancy price. The dubbing rights have fetched the makers Rs 12 crore which is huge.

In the days to come, the satellite rights to the film will also be sold for a whopping price as per the news. Kavya Thapar played the female lead in this film which has Vennela Kishore in a key role.

The comedy clicked with the audience but the narration was a bit outdated feel the audience. The songs and visuals are great but the twists needed to be more crisp. Watch this space for more updates on this project.
