Vishnu Vishal joins forces with Label director Arunraja Kamaraj for a family-action drama; here are the key details

Vishnu Vishal, whose most-awaited release Lal Salaam is around the corner, has signed several other interesting projects for the year. The actor had recently shared a photo with director Arunraja Kamaraj with the caption “Biggest Sambavam Loading..”, piquing the interests of the audience. The Kanaa-fame director has now shared some key details of his upcoming collaboration with the Raatchasan tar.  

According to the director, the film is touted to be a family-action drama and is set to be made on a big budget. The director revealed that the scripting for the film has been completed and the film will go on floors in June or July.  

Arunraja is planning to make the official announcement of the cast and crew by the month end, as Vishnu Vishal will be busy with the promotions of his upcoming film Lal Salaam that also features superstar Rajinikanth in a cameo appearance.  

Interestingly, the director had also revealed that he had first narrated a story to the actor, before making his directorial debut film Kanaa. However, it did not materialise. Hence, the director believes that now is the right time for both the director-actor duo to collaborate on their dream project.

More about director Arunraja Kamaraj

For the unversed, before Arunraja Kamaraj made his directorial debut with Sivakarthikeyan and Aishwarya Rajesh-starrer Kanaa, he had begun his career in the industry as a lyricist and singer. He then ventured into direction and helmed films such as Nenjuku Needhi and a Hotstar specials web series titled Label with actor Jai. 

The upcoming film with Vishnu Vishal will mark the director’s fourth directorial and the actor-director’s maiden collaboration.

Vishnu Vishal’s upcoming projects

The Tamil actor, who is awaiting the release of Aishwarya Rajinikanth directorial Lal Salaam, has also signed another interesting project with director Gokul. Touted to be an action flick, Vishnu Vishal is set to play an antagonist in this film.  

Meanwhile, sports drama Lal Salaam, starring Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth, is gearing up for a grand theatrical release on February 9.
