Virupaksha OTT release: The Sai Dharam Tej, Samyuktha Menon starrer nears the 100 crore mark

Agent is a film that Akhil Akkineni had pinned a lot of hopes on. He spent two and half years on the action drama which was directed by Surender Reddy. Well, the film which was released last Friday has flopped at the box office. This has given the Sai Dharam Tej's starrer, Virupaksha, a new lease of life at the box office.

Virupaksha has already crossed the 91 crore gross mark and will soon touch the coveted 100 crore figure by the end of this week. Virupaksha was also released in Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam on the 5th of this month but did not fare well at the box office. Karthik Varma Dandu directed this film which had Samyuktha Menon in a key role. 

On the other hand, Virupaksha is all set to stream on Netflix from the 21st of this month. The makers earned big bucks from the OTT rights of this film. BVSN Prasad produced the suspense thriller which was co-produced by Sukumar Writings, owned by director Sukumar.

Virupaksha was in the making for a long time. As Sai Dharam Tej suffered a major bike accident, the shoot was put on hold for over six months. But the delay was worth as the film impressed one and all with its solid thrills and captivating narration by Karthik Varma. Samyuktha Menon's role is one of the highlights of the film.
