Viraaji on OTT: The Varun Sandesh thriller clocks solid views in just two days

Viraaji is actor Varun Sandesh's latest film which hit the screens recently. The film was promoted on a decent level but it did not click at the box office despite having decent reviews. We at OTTplay have already revealed that Aha had grabbed the digital rights to the film for a fancy price.

Ever since the thriller started streaming on Aha, it has become a talking point. Within just two days of its on August 22, 2024, Viraaji has clocked a whopping 5.6 million streaming minutes. This is quite good as the film had no popular faces and was a flop at the box office.

But as word of mouth spread online that the film has decent thrills and can be watched online, the streaming minutes have only increased for the film. Adyanth Harsha directed the film made on a very low budget.

Varun Sandesh is thrilled with the response to the film on OTT and says that it is the first time that his film has started with such an impact on OTT. "My film had a great storyline but sadly, as there were so many releases on August 2, 2024, Viraaji could not hold on at the box office. I am super thrilled that the film is finding its right audience now on Aha," said Varun.

The popular hero played the role of Andy in this film which is about a group of people getting stuck in a mental asylum and hell breaks loose. Varun Sandesh was seen in a crazy role and even dyed his hair in two colors.

Varun plays a psycho killer in the film produced by Mahendranath. Viraaji's rights were sold for a good price and this landed the makers in a solid profit zone. Well, the response to the film on social media is also good and we need to see how Viraaji fares in the days to come. Watch this space for more updates.
