Recently, during the press conference of Netflix's darlings, director-music composer Vishal Bharadwaj said that all a creative person wants is appreciation for his creativity. And Bollywood actor Vineet Kumar Singh seems to subscribe to that school of thought, too.
In a recent interview with popular YouTube channel Unfiltered with Samdish, Vineet Kumar Singh told the host that he does not get invited to "so-called Bollywood parties".
"... I don't go to Bollywood parties a lot. Hardly kahin kahin jaata hoon (Hardlyand I don't get invited to the so-called Bollywood parties," he told the channel. before adding that he doesn't think not being invited to parties is a case of 'classism', as suggested by the host.
"Mujhe nahin maalum (I don't know) ... No, it is not like that... It is just that they are stingy about tweets. I see that if a particular body of work belongs to a certain section, everyone stands up to support it," Vineet Kumar Singh said.
When the host pressed him for further discussion on the topic, suggesting this lack of inclusion could be a case of nepotism, Vineet Kumar Singh was quick to add that the industry as a whole is 'stingy' about tweeting in supporting of everyone's works.
"I won't call it a gang. Mukkabaaz released on January 12, 2018. As an actor, if i have lacked somewhere then tell me. if I have fallen short somewhere, I am willing to work more on that. But in the last four-and-a-half-years, I don't have a single solo theatrical release. Aadhar was made but it never released and other than that, I couldn't materialise anything else. Sometimes i wonder, why did Mukkabaaz happen in my life? Why did Wasseypur happen in my life?..."
